Deputy Foreign Minister Dziedziczak visits “Bergkristall”

 
 

The Deputy Foreign Minister of Poland, State Secretary Jan Dziedziczak visited the new memorial site at the entrance into the former Bergkristall tunnels at St. Georgen/Gusen, Austria on January 22, 2016 with Ambassador Artur Lorkowski and a high ranking delegation from Warszaw. Secretary Dziedziczak inaugurated the new interpretive plaques at that new memorial site along with that visit because they were financed mainly with funds of the Republic of Poland in 2015. Deputy Minister Dziedziczak also prayed with the participants for the victims of Concentration Camp Gusen II an laid wreath for them at the Polish Monument. He also expressed his thanks to the participating representatives of the Community of St. Georgen an der Gusen and the Gusen Memorial Committee for their decades-long remembrance efforts and the creation of that new memorial site at St. Georgen.
