Commemoration Service
at St. Georgen Parish Church

A special Roman Catholic service was dedicated to beatified Marcel Callo and the thousands of nameless KZ Gusen victims on the morning of May 6, 2001 at the parish church of St. Georgen/Gusen.

The service was held in concelebration by the Archbishop of Rennes, France (the home diocese of Marcel Callo) and the Bishop of Linz, Austria (the diocese Gusen and Mauthausen belongs to) and Father Jean Callo (Marcel Callo´s brother, himself a priest).

High-ranking diplomatic representatives were among the many survivors that came to celebrate this very special service together with many people from the local population.
